Martin Luther King Jr. Day commemorates one of the world's most paramount figures in nonviolent activism, and a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. This holiday was signed into federal law in the 1980s by President Reagan and was first celebrated in 1986.

It is also recognized as a national day of service where we can give back to our community in so many ways.

One of the events held in Coopersburg was the "Paw It Forward" Pet Supply & Food Drive where anyone can come by the Community Center to drop off items to help support Animals In Distress and Betty Lou's Pantry. It was a cold but beautiful day!
