An environment of community, collective pride, responsibility, and accountability helps foster the best out of all of us.

Meet Luis
My wife Maja and I chose to move our family to Center Valley because we wanted a safe, engaging school district for our son. The strong academic reputation of the Southern Lehigh School District, along with the vibrant arts, science, and music opportunities made it an easy decision. Within our first week, our neighbors came by and greeted us, welcomed us into the neighborhood and treated us as family. We knew we were home.
As a tradesman for 19 years, I've built a career that started with my high school's vocational program, followed by an apprenticeship through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). During my apprenticeship I was able to learn everything I needed for my career, through on-the-job training, and night school where I was able to also earn an AS in Labor Studies.
Now as an Electrician with the United Steel Workers (USW), I also serve on a local safety committee; working collaboratively with teams of all levels to ensure compliance with our standards and procedures. As a committee member, I am also tasked with giving suggestions to policy updates while keeping in accordance with OSHA and corporate standards.
I'm passionate about using my experience to support the next generation. Making sure our schools provide the education, tools, and opportunities every student needs to succeed. By listening to our community and making transparent, fact-based decisions, we can help all students thrive.
